Most dresses are returned for one reason: they did not fit. Not because the customer chose wrong, but because there was never enough information to choose with. So here is ours.
Three numbers, one tape measure
Measure over the underwear you would actually wear with the dress. Keep the tape level and snug, not tight. Do not hold your breath.
- Bust. Around the fullest part, wearing the bra you would wear underneath. Start under one arm, go around your back, finish where you started.
- Waist. Around the narrowest part of your torso, roughly halfway between your navel and the bottom of your ribs.
- Hips. Around the widest point, with the tape level all the way round. No shapewear, even if you plan to wear it.
- Your own length. For a dress, hang the tape from the point where your neck meets your shoulder and read off where you want the hem to fall. That number is the one to compare against the length we publish on every product page.
The CASVELO size chart
These are body measurements in centimetres — the body the size is cut for, not the garment.

How to read a CASVELO product page
Every dress carries three things under How it fits, and you need all three:
- The garment measurement, with the size it was taken on. “Length (size S): 134 cm, neckline to hem” means something. “Maxi length” does not.
- The model's real measurements and the size she is wearing. Height, bust, waist, hips. So you can see the dress on a body and know how far that body is from yours.
- A sizing instruction. True to size, size up, size down, or cut to the chart. Every dress gets one, and every dress answers the between-sizes case rather than leaving it open.
Between two sizes
Read the instruction on the dress itself — it changes by fabric. Bias-cut satin gives, so we send you down. Poplin does not, so we send you up. A boned bodice is cut to the chart and should be taken at the chart, neither up nor down.

Send us your bust, waist and hip measurements and the dress you are looking at, and we will tell you which size we would send. If we think none of them will fit you well, we will say that too.
